Description

BatTransect is the companion app for professional bat researchers running detector transects. The app stores bat contacts and saves the transect track. Integration of simple GIS features improves your field work. Whenever a transect is active, a waypoint file of your track is generated. This can be used to give qualified feedback on the area covered on your transect. It is also used for geo-referencing passively recorded calls. Note that while a transect is active the continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
