With the BAUHAUS NAUTIC app 3.0 you’re next sailing trip will indeed be plain sailing! The practical features include a comprehensive dictionary and the four features: knot board, on-board cash, code chart and logbook to ensure you will be safe on both water and land.
Whether on the high sea or in the harbour on land, the NAUTIC Dictionary enables you to communicate in many countries around the world in English, Dutch, French, Portuguese, Italian, Danish, Spanish, Greek, Turkish and Croatian.
Over 1,800 technical terms from the navigation and nautical sector are translated into ten languages, and classified into eleven categories for quick and effective reference. So, for example you will find a basic vocabulary for emergency situations under the headings “First Aid”, “Safety” and “SOS” to ensure you can communicate practically anywhere on the globe.
The informative knot board provides an overview of over 20 of the most important knots. You will find eight categories of clear, step-by-step instructions for tying each knot.
An on-board cash function is included in the NAUTIC app to enable you to efficiently manage the crew expenses, including demurrage, fuel and provisions. You can transfer the disbursements to individual participants and convert your expenditure into nine European currencies.
The app also includes a code chart for a quick overview of distress signals, prohibition notices, nautical signage, buoyage, acoustic signals, regatta flags and numeral pennants.
Use the logbook feature to document your sailing trip. Here, you can plot and record all the stages and changes of course and define and tick off the daily check-ups at sea. You can also integrate your crew list from the on-board cash function or create a new list. Have you come to the end of your sailing trip? Store it in your NAUTIC logbook and retrieve it at any time.
The app also provides information on the locations of the specialist departments in NAUTIC, and the latest offers from your BAUHAUS centre of expertise.
