Excellent, simple, no-frills App. Exactly what a business accounting App should be. The simplicity means you need to understand the flow of money throughout your business which is critical to budiling a business. I can’t think of a type of business that could’nt benefit from using this APP. I gave this App three stars because it lacks two components critical for building a business in today’s mobile world - an iPhone/iPad counterpart and iCloud integration. Add those two missing components and this App is five-stars.

Great App by itself, but needs more...
Needs Work
With quite a lot of work this software might work if you need only a very simple personal tracking of expenses, It doesnt track any budgets, or comparative data. BUYER BEWARE. Apple, your review of the apps functionality is lacking.
Work great for small home-office business
I have been using BeancounterPro for 1 1/2 years now I have found it a sweet deal for the money. I own a small business that design and sells software over the internet and I also provide consulting services. Beancouter does require that you know or you are willing to learn about accounting. It allows me to keep track of my invoices, expenses, assets, and liabilities in such a way that I feel in control of my business financial state. The invoicing is a bit confusing at first and would certainly benifit from a small tutorial. I especially like the ability to attach a pdf version of the receipts and invoices in the entries keeping everythink in the same place. I would like to see Quicken import feature added. For now, I use the CVS import and map the different fields manualy. It is better then retyping the values.
awful application
This application is TERRIBLE! Nothing works the way its supposed to. Certain columns don’t update when you fill them out (for instance, you enter expenses and nothing changes in the Expense column). Reports dont generate correctly, essentually this application is a giant POS. Don’t buy it. It’s a complete rip off. Has so many bugs I can’t even begin to tell you. Support is minimal. They don’t reply when you reach out to them. I am attempting to get a refund, but seeing as I cant even get a response that seems unlikely. DON’T BUY THIS GARBAGE!! There are tons of accounting applications out there, find one that works. Don’t make the mistake of spending cash and lots of time to realize this doesnt do the job its supposed to.
Not user friendly and no tutorials
I am struggling to get this software to work for me. So far I havent been able to set it up to create a project and generate an invoice. I regret my purchase. The Help manual is woefully inadequate and there are no tutorials to be found anywhere. I have written the developer to ask for help and will amend my review if they get back to me.
This is app works!!!
I bought this app some months ago…I did not understand it at first so I bought YNAB; but after trying it again, I got to understand the way it works. I hava organized a Small Business with this app and I have found this app to be full of good surprises. I can take pics of all my receipts and place them as attachments on every log + I can add invoces directly from my Numbers templates on the entries I make. I also like the way I make invoices and track time. I am not an accountant; but this app has helped me to see my cash flow and understand my operation expenses and earnings better. I can say that I have made more money as a result of organizing my business with this app…Thanks..:-). The graphics and report charts are not pretty…I think a real accountant thought of this app; it reflects on its looks… it goes to the point in a very monochromatic style and without any textures..ha..ha..:-) Thanks for the App..it has helped me a lot..I cant wait to see the future versions.
