Beginning C# Programming at Mac App Store analyse

Vorweg: die App ist auf englisch. Das ist keine Kritik an die Entwickler, im Gegenteil. Es ist eher ein Hinweis an alle Anfänger: wer programmieren lernen will, sollte am besten gleich auf Englisch zu denken beginnen, weil die gesamten Befehle und Begriffe von Objective C und auch von anderen Programmiersprachen auf der englischen Sprache basieren. Nur als Hinweis :-) Die App ist nicht unbedingt für absolute Anfänger geeignet, denn die werden mit den Befehlen & co., die darin aufgelistet werden, vermutlich auch nicht so wirklich schlau werden. Ich sehe die App eher als eine Art Ratgeber. Wenn man am Anfang der Programmierung steht, zeigt sie einem das ein oder andere Beispiel und führt einen in die grundlegenden Teilgebiete ein – allerdings sollte man sich nicht allein auf diese App verlassen. Die App erklärt nicht besonders anschaulich, sie listet lediglich auf, was wie zusammengehört. Von diesen inhaltlichen Mängeln abgesehen, fehlt der App noch einiges an Features: die einzelnen "Seiten" des Ratgebers sind bloße Bilder, was bedeutet, dass man leider keinen Text auswählen und kopieren kann. Auch ist die App nicht gerade übersichtlich mit der Spalte links und der Bebilderung. Der Quiz-Modus ist zwar ganz nett, um das eigene Wissen zu überprüfen, allerdings hat die App auch hier viel Potential verspielt. Der Quiz-Modus hätte interaktiv gestaltet werden können, sodass man, anstatt bloß Multiple-Choice vorgesetzt zu bekommen, ein Codebeispiel vor die Nase bekommt, wo man z. B. an der richtigen Stelle die richtige Zahl einfügen muss oder wo man einen Fehler finden muss. Entwicklung ist nicht nur das schlichte Auswendiglernen von Code und Algorhythmen, es setzt auch die Fähigkeit voraus selbst zu denken – und da hat die App viel Potential verspielt. Deshalb kann ich momentan nicht mehr als drei Sterne geben.

C# on a Mac? Really? Besides, there is minimal information pertaining to unique features of C#. It should be named LearnBasicProgramming.

Hi I wrote a review yesterday after I downloaded this. I couldnt get into the tutotrials after I double clicked. The app runs great - IT WAS MY FAULT. The settings for my mouse were too quick. This developer has done a great job with this app.

Whoever wrote this app was a programer, not a teacher. This app is supposed to be for beginners, yet it teaches us like we already know what theyre talking about. I am a beginner and this is not made for beginners. Also, the program is sloppy. Mispellings all over the place and Im not sure when Im supposed to use the "quiz mode". This is not a good tool for beginners to learn C#, despite the name of the app. I want my $2 back

As a beginner, i can tell anyone that this may say its for beginners, but its not. For example: "string [] args- arguments of the method" This app doesnt explain what this means. What or who is arguing agianst what? What method? This kind of thing is present through out this app, my english teacher once told me when writing a how to paper, write it like the reader has never heard about and doesnt know about the subject AT ALL. The developers dont know how to write a "how to" app. Dont buy, it didnt help me one bit, it just left me with more questions than it answered.
