With over 700 buses and 5,300 unique stops, Beijings bus system can be a daunting place. If you cannot read Chinese characters its even more scary. Beijing Buses takes you deep within the unknown realm of the Beijing bus system. Features: - View buses/routes in Pinyin, English, and Chinese - View maps over 3G/4G or Wifi - List closest stops and buses using your phones GPS - Search by line number, stop name, or keyword - View bus schedules and prices - Bus line information available offline Description: This app makes it easier to get where youre going with access to the citys bus routes in English and Chinese. Beijing Buses will show you all stops on the bus line you choose with prices and schedules. And dont worry if you have no internet connection, this data is all available offline. If this isnt enough info and you have a 3G/4G or Wifi connection, you can view an individual stop or the whole route on a map. Search by line name or number to view the stops on the buses route. Search by stop name to view bus lines available at that stop. Beijing Buses integrates with your devices GPS, providing the closest bus and stop information. They using Google maps what is not working in China ! And have of the busses I was looking for the app did not find it! Sow its useless for me

Since I posted about not seeing maps in September there have been iOS updates as well as this app and now maps are great My new complaint is that route 992 is missing

The apps maps function is pretty useless. Opening the map for nearby stations should give you the bus stations with clickable links so you dont have to memorize the name of the station and tap the search function then find the result. The bus lines are also not updated, just compare number of routes and buses on Baidu maps to the options given on the app. Also the app has frozen twice, each time I try to reopen it. Very irritating.

Google map is blocked

Google map is blocked in china. Without a map, how can we use the app?? Is it possible to have a version that uses alternative maps (e.g. apple, baidu...). Otherwise, we need a refund.

Concept is good. Execution fails. You can find the name of nearby stops and see where they go but Google maps doesnt work here. Many buses are not listed, especially in the suburbs. It does give stop names in both pinyin and characters so you can figure out how to pronounce them.
