This biweekly show is a beautifully executed compilation combining the absolute best in left-leaning political news and commentary with great music to glue it all together. Each edition we choose a political theme and bring you a variety of stories and perspectives from an array of sources on that theme. This application provides instant access to the entire back catalog of this award-nominated show stretching back in the archives to 2006 without taking up space on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Sources for this compilation show include Countdown with Keith Olberman and The Rachel Maddow Show from MSNBC. NPR shows such as On the Media, Radio Lab, This American Life, Wait wait dont tell me!, Fresh Air, and All things considered. Air America Radio shows such as Break Room Live, Ring of Fire with Bobby Kennedy and The Inside Story with Ana Marie Cox. I also include The Young Turks, Thom Hartmann, Democracy NOW!, Counterspin from FAIR.org, Mother Jones Radio, Slate magazine, Alex Jones, Randi Rhodes, Radio Ecoshock, Le Show, Real Time with Bill Maher, and Green.tv. If you like any of the above programs its almost certain that you will love Best of the Left! Even if you already listen to all of the sources above youll still like BotL because it is a show that is truly greater than the sum of its parts. Really love the work Jay is doing, been a fan of the Podcast for a while. Glad to see an app so I dont have to sinc to get the latest info. Only beef is that in the movie file format I cant skip through segments I had time to see in original airing, as I can on the podcast, really like that option, pease fix. Otherwise keep doing what youre doing Jay, America needs it!

I was hoping there might have been a LITE version to try it before I bought it. No offense; it really is a terrific app, but Id have liked to test it to see if it was worth the two dollars (it was, but you can never be too sure sometimes). Five stars for the app; four for the lack of a LITE.

Must have, a great app for those who wish to stay informed

If youre a fan of the podcast, this is more than worth the $2. I like the added video content that is a bonus with this app.

I love this app. I go to the gym and plug this in while I work out. I listen while I drive from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia. I am in love with this movement and people opening their eyes. Keep up the good work!

Great content, but podcast is better delivery mechanism

I love the podcast. I wont begrudge the $2 donation. However, the app has serious disadvantages: cant use other apps while listening, loading in real time is slow, and if some glitch tosses you out of the app, it doesnt remember where you were after it reloads the episode.
