Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical and available almost everywhere. There are no age or education requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about his or her drinking problem. The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous is the bible for recovering alcoholics. It has helped millions of people take the first step towards sobriety. This A.A. Big Book Audio serves as a guide and an inspiration for people entering into a recovery program. The A.A. Big Book Audio app is for anyone who would rather listen to the encouraging words of the Big Book, than read it. But of course, some will want to do both. Couldnt get Dr Bobs Nightmare or the other personal stories so not worth 2$

Narrator seems to be listening to news broadcast while speaking. The background noise is quite annoying and makes concentrating on the message of the Big Book some times impossible. Do not try to listen with ear buds, this only intensifies the displeasure of the experience. Wish there was a review that pointed this out before I chose this app. Now that I have it, I hope the app creator will put out a new version so the lessons can be absorbed without the unwanted disturbance.

Pretty good but needs tweeks

A couple updates and this app would be perfect. 1) in the event that the app gets paused, shut down or otherwise put not in use, being able to pick up at the specific spot you left off at would be nice. 2) and the bigger of my 2 complaints, this app needs to have the option to play all chapters in succession back to back without having to manually forward to the next chapter. This is very annoying when Im in the middle of doing something and the same chapter begins again. I have to stop what Im doing and go to the phone, open the app and manually fast forward. A much better solution would be to have the app play all of the chapters continually rather than just one.

I like the app and plan on using it at our discussion meetings, however it does not include dr bobs nightmare and the personal stories, if this gets updated that would be great.!!

It is not the entire book

I thought I was getting the entire book. It only goes to chapter 11.

Dont get me wrong you still can hear the reading but theres a lot of noise in the background. I think in this time of technology you can do a better job than this. Just pay a little more and buy a different app.
