Description

This is an Obstetric calculator used to calculate Bishops Score. This score is used to assess probability of impending delivery as well as expected success rate if labor is induced. The calculation takes into account prior deliveries or whether or not the pregnancy is postdates or complicated by preeclampsia & PROM. Expectant parents may also find this of use in aiding their obstetrician in determining whether induction of labor is reasonable.

Useful reference, elegant interface

As an academic family physician, I missed having such a tool on the iPhone until now. Its a clean quick-reference tool that fills the bill nicely. I will recommend it to my residents. Thanks!

good application

Thought the application was well worth the money. Although when I examine the patient I can calculate their bishop score, i often have patients ask me about their risk of having a c-section. The bishop score calculator is not only a great teaching tool for residents and medical students, i like the way it gives the percentage of patients with that score who will not deliver vaginally. Good value for the cost. Cant wait to get the OB patient tracker!

Nice interface, cesarean rates seem very low

The interface for this ap is very easy to use. However I question the cesarean risk rates presented, and wonder if they come from actual research or this doctors "expert opinion." They are so low that I fear they would make wen complacent about the cesarean risks with induction.
