Description
The purpose of this app is to individualise the intensification of blood pressure management. To do this the app uses individual patient data from two large clinical trials, SPRINT and ACCORD. The SPRINT trial randomised patients to either a systolic blood-pressure target of less than 120 mm Hg (intensive treatment) or a target of less than 140 mm Hg (standard treatment). By comparing the profile of your patient to profiles of patients in these studies treatment can be optimised to balance benefit versus risk of antihypertensive treatment intensification.
