Blood Sugar Diary is designed to help you with regular monitoring and keeping track of blood glucose. Here is a list of benefits of using Blood Sugar Diary.

• Easy to use: Even novice with very little knowledge of operating computers can use the software with ease.

• Simple design: The software is designed in a simple way with a user friendly interface and multiple users support.

• Protected by a password: If you have children at home then there is a danger of them accessing the software and changing the values unknowingly. To prevent this danger it is provided with a password to manage your account safely.

• Keeps track of blood glucose: It allows you to add new readings any number of times in a day. You can very easily upload and delete the incorrect data as per the requirement.

• Helps analyze history: As a long list of data i.e. glucose values over a period of time are available it is possible to analyze the condition and make note of how long the patient has been suffering with the disease.

• Values can be sent to the doctor directly: The best part of using the software is the results can be sent directly to the doctor via an email. This in turn saves you the hassle of making note of glucose readings.

• Add a note to the reading: Software provides you the facility to include a short note next to every reading. You can include notes such as memos, any associated health conditions and medications being used.

• Create review charts and get print of readings over a specific period: As glucose values over a specific period of time are available it is possible to create review chart to make note of progress in the treatment of disease. You can also get a printed report of these readings and review chart.

Graph does not display as shown.

Graph displays about 2/3 of size shown. History Explorer does not work at all and graph is displayed in a compressed form at bottom left of screen. It is totally unreadable. Graph also prints in small compressed form at bottom middle of page and is unreadable. After entering data the list jumps back up to the top and you have to scroll down to find your entry (very irritating). Its easy to make a mistake entering data and hard to find your mistake after. At this time there is no support and no web site to go to for help. It prints a fairly good report. If you try to send an email to your doctor it prints a lousy report. It puts the Subject line as your blood pressure report. It does not send any comments that could explain to your doctor whats happening. All-in-all this program is close to useless. Not worth buying.

too hard to use

This app has some potential, but it seems like an early beta-test version to me. It is very difficult to enter the data correctly every time, because every data point defaults, and has to be re-entered, for every reading. I find it not only difficult to get data into, but also hard to retrieve data from. I used it for a few days and decided it would be easier and much more user-friendly to make my own excel spreadsheet, which i did in a few hours, and it is much better. (And i am an amatuer at Excel- this app is just too hard to use). Having to enter the date and time in one field (6 pieces of data) with no drop-downs produces a lot of errors. There is a "print report" option, but there is no obvious way to see and edit the data file that goes into that report. I could go on, but please, do not waste your time and money with this app.

Where is the data stored?

The data is stored: ~Library/Containers/com.Aktica.Blood-Sugar-Diary Needs a lot of work on the graphs. Not worth 995.

disappointing

Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing … just assumed it would be more user friendly and have more options … I agree with the review that said it seems more like the "rough draft", beta version of what could be a great tool … if we are going to be the beta users we shouldnt have to pay for it … I dont take my sugar 7 times a day, yet there seems to be no way to removed the columns I dont need …. they make my chart too wide … it would be good if the columns or rows could be narrowed or deleted like in Excell or Numbers It also seems weird to me that it is designed for multiple users unless it was intended for clinical use and research … dont most people have it on their personal computer for their private use? Even if there was someone else in my household who was monitoring blood sugar, they would use the app on their own computer, not mine … Passwords should be optional for the single user, like me, who just wants to open it up, post my sugar reading and be done … just makes for an extra step. Id really like my money back, but not sure how to do that with an app … so I hope they have upgrades that take into account the issues in these reviews, and soon. btw, how come the chart says there are 6 reviews, but only three are visible? and why have a tech support option, when the page is not up yet?

It is OK

Only works on my home computer, there is no app for the mobile devices. Nice feature is that it will print results to bring to your physician for his records. It does the job but has limitations.

Worthless App

This App is completely useless. I use a Mac and this app does not allow me to save a user. Save your money and invest in a real diabetes application.
