The "Police app" is the official mobile app of the Austrian police forces. In addition to breaking news, prevention tips and alerts, the app provides a lot of helpful information about the topic of policing and the Federal Ministry of the Interior.
News:
Get the most important police news and current information from the Federal Ministry of the Interior each day. This will keep you well-informed and up to date with the latest events.
Alerts:
Your help is needed! We publish notices for wanted and missing persons as well as for stolen works of art.
Prevention:
Up-to-date prevention tips covering violence, burglary, theft, fraud and many more crime areas will get you safely through the day. Lets join forces for more security!
Reporting offices:
We are always there for you! If you observe any activities that may be criminal, please share your observations with our reporting offices.
Police emergency call:
Police emergency calls are made through phone links. With the users consent, the phones operating system will call the respective emergency phone number. The app will not automatically locate the device. However, depending on the country and support from the network operator, the operating system can transmit location data to the control centres.
Police Station Finder:
Find the nearest police station quickly and easily, using our GPS-based Police Station Finder. Content needs to be downloaded from a server. The data is then updated automatically as long as there is an internet connection. Out of the box, the app does not contain any data, so as to ensure data freshness.
This app is a smart companion for everyday life, providing easily accessible, timely and useful information.
