BrainViz uses the power of the Emotiv Insight to capture brain activity patterns in real time, highlighting the most active regions in each of four significant frequency bands:
Delta (1 Hz to 4 Hz) is the slowest frequency range. It is seen normally in adults during drowsiness and early slow wave sleep. Delta is adjusted to be more sensitive than normal.
Theta (4 Hz to 7 Hz), may be seen in drowsiness, arousal or mediation.
Alpha (7 Hz to 14 Hz) emerges when closing the eyes and during relaxation.
Beta (15 Hz to about 30 Hz) is closely linked to motor behavior and is generally attenuated during active movements. Low amplitude beta with multiple and varying frequencies is often associated with active concentration.
