Breaking lets you add news that matter to you, right in your Today View. Add local news, your favourite blogs or anything else that comes with a feed as a Today widget in OS X Yosemite. The latest stories will always be right there when you have time for them, a single gesture away. A two finger swipe from the edge of your trackpad and you’ll be up to speed. Breaking is an easy, uncluttered way of staying on top of what’s new in your world - marrying the accessibility of the Today view with the power of the web. ** Features ** - Display the latest stories from your feeds in the Today view in Notification center, a single swipe or click away. - Tap a news item and go straight to the full story in your browser. - Click and drag right to dismiss a story and click and drag left to share. - Open Story Mode and get a pop out window with a stream of latest stories. - Just enter a website and we’ll search the site and add your feed. Waste of money

Dont bother with this app. It appears to be something the developers put together in a few minutes as it offers no options for the feeds or setup. It also integrates solely into the notification centre view, but not into notifications itself, so there are no options for banners or sounds when a new article is posted.

The App will accept feeds in the main app, but will not display anything in its Notification “block”. Support is unresponsive.

I really like Robocat and admire their work; however, this version seems like it was rushed out of the door way too quickly, eas it doesn’t work at all and if it does, it is really glitchy and lacks polish. For example, the Today widget either shows an empty screen or ‘Unable to Load’. Same issue occurs on iOS. :/

Something I wanted since Widgets became available

When I first saw OS X Yosemite unveiled last June, one of the things I was most excited about was widgets. I really wanted a widget to display the news in my today view. Well, all I can say about this app is— about time!! (; My one complaint is that the app occasionally suffers from an issue where articles overlap each other and all that is displayed is a garbled mush. However, after a minute or two the problem always corrects itself. I have a feeling this bug will be patched though. Either way, I am really glad this is available and plan on using it extensively as my own personal news ticker.
