Brunched: A word that refers to that fulfilling feeling when you have consumed the best combination of breakfast and lunch you can find at a reasonable hour of the day AND you have taken a photo of it to commemorate the experience!
What started out as a simple obsession with french toast and the one thing that was fun to do whilst travelling the world on my own has turned into a way for me to catalogue, recommend and be inspired by my favourite meal of the day. What was an initial annoyance (I’m sure of it) to people in their facebook, twitter and instagram feeds, found some form of legitimacy as people asked me where I was going for brunch this weekend or told me that they tried a cafe based on my post. And so brunched was born.
Some of the posts are back catalogues of some of my favourite meals – just because I didn’t catalogue them all on line doesn’t mean they didn’t happen! But most are about the adventure that awaits me most weekends as I strive to find the best brunch spot in town – whatever town I happen to be in. Brunch, whether shared with friends, or enjoyed as a relaxed moment for one, is a way to bridge two meals and enjoy the sweet, the savoury or both!
