Answer a few basic questions on a regular basis, learn new and interesting hepatitis C facts and get a good look at your recent activity level. Over 3 million Americans suffer from the negative effects of hepatitis C. And while highly effective new medications are available, we still know very little about the impact the virus and current medications have on people’s lives. To remedy this, we at Boston Children’s Hospital have created a new ResearchKit study for patients with hepatitis C. This study is open to adults ages 18 and over who have been diagnosed with hepatitis C. At this time it is open only to residents of the United States of America, and study participants will need to read and understand English. This app will collect information on your health through the Health app and short surveys that will include questions like: – Which antiviral medication are you currently taking or have you taken in the past? – During the past seven days, how many hours did you miss from work because of problems associated with your hepatitis C? We will send you occasional reminders to complete these in-app surveys. You will receive a reminder approximately every 4 months for an overall survey and about every 2 weeks for a quick wellness survey that asks about any recent symptoms.
