Description

CarryMap Observer is a client app provided for working with mobile offline maps made in ArcGIS (Esri, Inc.). CarryMap mobile maps in .cmf format can be prepared in ArcMap and exported from ArcGIS maps with the CarryMap extension to ArcGIS for Desktop (http://www.dataeast.com/en/Carrymap.asp). Exported maps can be uploaded to the iOS device (iPod, iPhone, iPad) using iTunes or downloaded from online resources or email attachments. As well, mobile maps can be imported back to ArcGIS on another computer with ArcGIS and CarryMap extension installed. CarryMap Observer features: • Map navigation (Zoom in, Zoom out, Pan) • Map rotation • Identifying features on the map • Search for features on the map by attributes • Point data collection in the field by adding pushpins with descriptions • Point pushpins import/export to KML (KMZ) files • Displaying current location using GPS • Distance measurement

Excellent app!

The CarryMap Observer app - along with the CarryMap 3.0 extension for ArcGIS - is an excellent tool. It allows for users to put their portable CarryMaps on their iPod / iPhone / iPad devices. Excellent stuff!

This app finally solves the problem of carrying GIS data on a portable device. If you are an ESRI user, you absolutely need this app and the associated extension for ArcMap.

App did not work on iPhone 5. IOS 6.0.4

Could not see default demo map, & app crashed when I tried to set default scale.

Not detailed at all. Not what I expected. Gave it a good try on my hunt. Deleted as soon as I got back.

Please update to support iPhone 6 and 6 plus

Doses not work with iPhone 6 running iOS 8, loading a 3 mb file resulted in using over 80 gb of space on iPhone. Crashed iPhone had to uninstall. Please update

Im still asked for a password when I open a file that is 16MB even though the latest update states that this is fixed. Not fixed for me.
