Description
CCDOps on the iPhone and iPad continues SBIGs tradition of offering multi-platform support for imaging with their line of cooled CCD Cameras for Astronomy. CCDOps leverages the ethernet capability built into the STX and STT line of cameras allowing control of the camera, imaging, and saving the images in JPG or FITS format. Saved images can be synced with iTunes for further processing. Connecting the camera to a wireless router at the telescope allows you to use the iPhone or iPad as a wireless control platform at the telescope for setting up and achieving focus and then later you can transition imaging to the remote control room. Its also a handy tool for demonstrating the use of the camera to groups of people.
