ChatSecure is a free and open source messaging app that features OTR and OMEMO encryption over XMPP. You can create new accounts on public XMPP servers, or even connect to your own server for extra security. Unlike other apps that keep you stuck in their walled garden, ChatSecure is fully interoperable with other clients that support OTR, OMEMO and XMPP. ChatSecure only uses well-known open source cryptographic libraries to keep your conversations private. Tanto esse aplicativo quanto um outro aplicativo (de uma outra equipe) chamado Signal são os mais seguros aplicativos de mensagens instantâneas para iPhone! Ambos são Open Source e ambos funcionam impecavelmente!

automatisches abmelden???

Es klappt eigentlich alles soweit. ich verstehe nur nicht was mir ein Messenger bringt der sich im Hintergrund immer ausschaltet? wenn man das optional macht oder statt abmelden automatisch auf abwesend gesetzt wird etc. ok… aber abmelden? Sinn???

otr-fähigkeit fürs messaging per iphone ist etwas, auf das ich lange gewartet habe. soweit ich weiß, bietet die app als erste diese möglichkeit kostenlos & ohne werbung an. dafür danke ich den entwicklern herzlich und nehme eine eher schlechte Oberfläche gerne in kauf.
