Description
Chinese Character Lexicon provides extensive information about Chinese characters using a beautiful and intuitive user interface. Looking up a character provides the definition, readings in different East Asian languages, alternate forms of the character, radical identification, stroke order, and encoding information. Upon entering a character or capturing Chinese text with iPhone’s built-in camera, users get all this information at a glance. Additionally, the CC-CEDICT dictionary and Wiktionary are included for looking up Chinese and Japanese words
Key features:
1. Includes virtually all characters used in traditional and simplified Chinese, and Japanese.
2. Animated stroke order illustrations make learning to write characters easy.
3. Characters captured by iPhone camera are recognized using the built-in OCR.*
4. Character readings are provided in all major East Asian languages.
5. Alternate character forms (i.e., those used in different regions and previous eras) are listed.
6. Random characters can be brought up by tapping the Random Character icon.
7. Both Chinese and Japanese words can be looked up in CC-CEDICT and Wiktionary within the app.

*Only Simplified Chinese text is currently supported by the OCR. Recognition accuracy may vary depending on photo quality.
