Description
Dolch Sight Words - Pre-Primer
WHAT ARE DOLCH SIGHT WORDS ?
In 1948 Edward William Dolch, PhD, compiled a list of the most frequently used words in the English language. The list consists of 220 words and the 95 nouns. Many of the words could not be "sounded out" and had to be learnt by "sight". Sight words make up 50 to 70 percent of any general text.

The speaker is British!

If your British this will help....waste of money. I thought this would be fun for my son that lives playing with my phone.

Do not buy this app. The person who is saying the words is British. Get an American to speak the words and I will buy it. The accent is what kills you. Our kids need to hear it spoken in correct tones and correct English.
Somewhat lacking but Good for learning all the same
What I like most about this app (besides the super cute Boo Boo of course) is the fact that it doesn’t try to be everything for everyone. It is perfectly suited for my daughter’s learning level and it offers some nice bonuses like letting her change the background color and shaking her iPod Touch to learn a random word. I also like the mute option that allows her to practice her pronunciation although she can’t select which word to hear or to hear it in American English. Great for basic learning on the go.
Fun spin on Flash Cards!
Good range of words for children. The templates are fun and a good spin on flash cards. The fact that you can shake the iPad to change cards makes it feel more realistic and a bit more fun as well.
No audio!
When I select American, I get no audio at all
