Ciclope helps you building a healthy habit of blinking, reducing Eye Fatigue and preventing or relieving the symptoms of Dry Eye Syndrome.

An average person usually blinks 15 to 20 times per minute, but in front of the computer that is reduced to 3 or 4 per minute, it happens because in an unconscious way we reduce drastically our frequency of blinking when working in front of the computer compromising our visual health.

With each blink, the basal tears flow through the cornea, nourishing its cells and providing a layer of liquid protection against the environment. When we do not blink enough we cause irritation, blurred vision, tiredness and pain around the eyes.


HOW DOES IT WORK?

You tell Ciclope how many times per minute you intend to blink and he catches your attention (visually or audibly) only when you do not blink enough.


CUSTOMIZATION

You have an initial goal of 7 blinks per minute but you can adjust it at your own pace. For example, if you set a goal of 10 blinks per minute, Ciclope will alert you if you hold your eyes open for more than 6 seconds.

As a visual alert you can choose between a soft change in the brightness of the screen, a line along it or a system notification.

To alert audibly, Ciclope plays sounds of Colombian birds, the sound that your system has predetermined or tells you any word or phrase that you like, yes, whatever you want to hear using your computers voice.

Ciclope monitors your eyes permanently, however, if you want to lighten the processor load or save battery in your laptop you can ask him to monitor only for 5, 15 or 30 minutes every hour, for the first case, Ciclope works 5 minutes, rests 55 minutes, works 5, and so on.

If you dont want any visual or auditory alert, or if you want to suspend the monitoring until new order, you can use the corresponding switches in the interface.


PRIVACY

Your privacy is protected, all graphic processing is done in the temporary memory of your computer, Ciclope does not use the internet, it runs completely offline.

This application will require your authorization to access the camera on your device for the sole purpose of recognizing the moment you blink.
