The official app for Citi Bike, NYC’s bike share system. Citi Bike consists of a fleet of specially designed, sturdy and durable bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations throughout the city. Our bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other station in the system, making them ideal for one-way trips. Bike share is a greener, healthier way to get around — whether you’re commuting, running errands, meeting friends, or exploring in a new city. The Citi Bike app gives you access to thousands of bikes in your area — unlock and pay directly from the app and get going. The Citi Bike app also shows upcoming public transit departures, including MTA subway trains, shuttles, local, limited, & express buses, LIRR commuter rail trains, Metro-North commuter rail trains, PATH rapid transit trains, Bee-Line local & express buses, NYC Ferries, the Staten Island Ferry, the AirTrain JFK, the AirTrain Newark, the Roosevelt Island Tramway, and NJT commuter rail trains, light rail trains, & buses. Perfect app

hkempke · 9 years ago · v3.9

Just the perfect app. Buying the ticket inside the app worked great. I could always see ahead if the stations had enough bikes or empty places for my bike. I love the app!

Surpasses capabilities of third party citibike apps

mmssunshine · 9 years ago · v3.6.8

This app as come a long way since the launch of Citibike in NYC. Ive tried a number of third party apps and the functionality of this app far exceeds the rest. I like being able to unlock a bike using the app, getting notifications when the bike is docked, seeing stats from my latest ride and being able to view the availability at my favorite stations.

Awesome app!

Ignore the Outdated Reviews!

The App works fine. Bike counts update as they should, map is accurate, etc. Been using for 2 years with no issues.

Must-have NYC app!

Invaluable for the avid citibiker. Gets the job done!

Love the CitiBike App

The number of available bikes at a station is now completely reliable. If it says there is one bike available two blocks away, its worth the walk. The map is always current and provides trip planning along bike routes, although once I know where to get a bike and where to drop it off I prefer following Google maps routes which talk me through strange neighborhoods via my iPhone in my shirt pocket. Showing accurate elapsed time during a ride is very well done.
