schade auch!
What’s the point?
I am glad this app is based on xTide. However, tides are not nearly as important as currents. So many narrow channels to navigate through on the British Columbia Coast, with currents flowing in excess of 12 knots. When you have a boat that can make only 5 knots, you are in trouble. So what I need to know is not the max and min time, but the SLACK tide, which often gives you no more than 10 minutes either side to pass through. The Sechelt Rapids, one of the fastest ones in the world are not even listed... The gold standard of portable tide tables got to be TideTools for the PalmOS, also based on xTide. Ahoy, Klaus
Clam Tide
Great application!! Very easy to use...I now have tide data wherever I go without looking for the tide books.
Both apps bite
This app ripped off the worse tide app on iTunes which ripped off open source software to make a buck on someone elses hard work without adding any more value. Despite what it says, both are featureless and missing most countries but probably worth a buck if you dont want more than a text list of high and low tides in a pretty background. The location detection works fine too.
It is Shralp Tide 1.0
Clam Tide is Shralp Tide rebranded with a different icon and background graphics. It is allowable to modify and redistribute under the GPL but the author should give credit since the software itself was unchanged. Sincerely, Michael Parlee Author of ShralpTide
