Description

Clinical Tests & Trials lets the researcher, academic physician, or epidemiologist quickly generate relevant calculations for the utility of a screening test or intervention. Enter the true positives, false positives, false negatives, and true negatives in the table. The six commonly-used analysis calculations of false positive rate, false negative rate, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value are displayed. The smart table allows entry of one group and the row total, and calculates the count of the remaining group for you. Or enter both groups and the total is then calculated. Rapid entry of all four data counts can be done, as the keyboard stays present until the "Done" key is tapped. Change counts quickly and see results for various distributions of positive and negative tests. Calculations displayed: - False positive rate - False negative rate - Sensitivity - Specificity - Predictive value of a positive test - Predictive value of a negative test The utility can be a starting point for looking at various sample sizes and prevalence rates, or for initial data for power calculations. Future updates will be free of charge. Offered at a low introductory price.
