Collaboratory improves on the common brainstorming method where participants sit around a conference table and quietly write ideas on sticky notes. After a while the notes are collected and read out loud to everyone. They are then divided into categories and prioritised, typically in different locations on the conference room walls. This app improves this process in three ways: - ideas can be typed on and sent in from a mobile device on the same Wi-Fi. This is done either through the mobile app "Collaboratory Client" or using a web interface. - ideas are arranged and categorised digitally, on a projector. In this way everyone in the room can read the text on each note, not just the person holding the note. - after the session is done the results are available in digital format and can be distributed immediately. No-one has to stay behind and document the ideas on the walls. Collaboratory is free to download and can be used with up to two participants for free. An in-app purchase allows for unlimited participants.
