Description
CompArea allows you to display maps of two different locales at the same scale, allowing you to compare the size of two geographic areas or features, such as cities, lakes, or islands.
You can select the location for each map by tapping its search icon (the magnifying glass), and typing the name of your location of interest (or something nearby). Zooming in or out on one map automatically adjusts the zoom of the other to maintain identical scales; the maps can be panned independently to adjust the positions being compared.
Comparisons can be saved by name and recalled later.
We wrote CompArea to satisfy our own curiosity about the relative size of geographical features, including lakes, islands, harbors, and airports. We hope you find the app equally useful or entertaining.
