Description

Court Days is an essential iPhone application for lawyers, paralegals, legal secretaries and all other legal professionals. Court Days allows you to quickly calculate the number of court days or calendar days (or a combination of the two) before or after a given date. It is simple to use and allows you to calculate multiple dates on a single screen. New in version 2.0: - You can now provide you own custom court holidays. This is especially useful if your jurisdiction is not in the applications default database or if your local court sets its own holiday schedule. - You can now calculate the number of court days, calendar days, weekdays, etc. between two dates. - You can now email the results of your date calculations. - The application now defaults back to your last selections and settings on relaunch. Because the observance of legal holidays varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction within the United States, the Court Days database contains legal holiday information for over 60 jurisdictions, including both state and federal courts.* For example, in California, use Court Days to calculate the filing deadlines for a notice of motion, opposition brief, and reply brief by requesting dates 16, 9, and 5 court days before the hearing date. Dates can also be calculated in sequence (e.g. 30 calendar days from A, 10 court days from B, and 5 calendar days from C) Court Days for iPhone provides a quick and efficient way to calculate court dates and deadlines without having to rely on that clumsy old paper date wheel or counting by hand on a paper calendar. *(The Court Days database does not contain legal holiday information for the states of Wisconsin or Massachusetts, as each individual court in those states determines which holidays will be observed.)

Great program. What an awesome idea.

Cannot go back in time 1> year

Useless for statute of limitations tool. There is no reason to not allow calender to start more than a year back to check for the running of a statutes date. You should update this

Good concept. Poor implementation.

While the calendar function works, the court date calculations do not - at least in Florida. The due dates are shown as long after when actually due under the Rules. If you rely upon the date calculations, make sure your malpractice coverage is current.

Have someone on your staff add in all the territories, commonwealths, possessions, trusts, etc into the Juristictions. Especially the Virgin Islands.

I almost gave this app "5 stars". I just sent the developer an email suggesting that the numbers stay populated in the three fields after exiting the program. I hate to re-enter the numbers after each use. Maybe he can add a reset button for those who want a clean slate...

Massachusetts Lawyer - Wheres our state????

Your description is misleading. It says that the app does not include the Massachusetts holidays, but it doesnt even include Massachusetts at all!! Please update with Massachusetts, or refund money. Also, no instructions as to how to use.
