The new update has ruined everything I liked the about this game! For instance now when encountering a convoy I often find I am in the midst of a convoy and instantly detected. The deck gun aiming is now inconsistent. Enemy ship collisions change the base course of those ships permanently and radically different to the body of the convoy making it hard to re-establish the contact of the convoy after evading escorts. Worst of all now when you switch to another app and go back to the game you now lose all progress you had with the current convoy and are put back into the convoy search mode. Also, as before closing the app does not do so! You have to double-click your button to view all apps and swipe it closed even after exiting the program properly from its menu. Did the developers even try this game on an iPhone? These problems and others would have been obvious if they had. To top it off the app still does not show up in iTunes so I cannot revert to the older version which was by far much better than this new update! This update to my favourite game is so sad its unbelievable and they have ruined it! I would expect a huge fix to this app like yesterday! Surely they are not oblivious to all the problems they have now introduced!

Ive enjoyed playing this game a lot. Its very reminiscent of Microproses Silent Service and Silent Service II, which I enjoyed in my late teens, early 20s. If you are a fan on naval warfare games, Crash Dive is definitely worth the price. Waxing nostalgic for the amazing games of my youth... Priceless!

The latest update has raised the "IQ" of the escort ships, made their sonar more sensitive and given them more formidable tactics against an attacking submarine. I dont know what to think of the way in which enemy ships "collide" and bounce off each other and sometimes resultingly spin around but I guess thats because of the huge difficulty of writing a program algorithm to deal with that challenge. Its a great simulation and a lot of fun. The rest of this review is what I wrote for previous versions before most recent update.... There arent very many submarines simulation games around. This is the best one I have happened to experience since my all – time favorite submarine simulation program, which was a DOS (Microsoft operating system before Windows 95). But, alas! I dont remember the name of THAT program. So crash dive is the best submarine game I have ever played whose name I can remember. The developers of this game PAY ATTENTION to suggestions from their users! Therefore I will make a suggestion: I suggest that they add a protective cover over the switches for decoy launch and torpedo launch. Because on a few occasions Ive accidentally brushed too near those buttons and unintentionally launched a decoy or torpedo.

Love this game but since the update came out the targeting system is broken! I cant even hit a ship when directly behind and in line with it! Please fix now!

The game runs horrible!! The enemy ships crash into each other and every so often, when torpedoed, they spin in circles like they were caught in whirlpool. That even happens to the ships that werent hit but close by to the hit ship. Get something else to play. Junk!!!
