Description

Create crossword puzzles right on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. Also check out our companion app: Crossword Puzzler - download and solve crossword puzzles on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. Crossword Author allows you to define the grid size, place the blocks, and fill in theme words. It can then automatically fill your grid. An Expert Manual Grid Fill option is available as an In-App purchase for professional grid filling. After the grid is filled, Crossword Author can assign clues to the puzzle. You can also manually set the clues as well. A word finder is included for finding words that match a pattern. Crossword Author has a built-in clue database and word list, but you can also use your own clue database and word list. See the Crossword Author support site for details. Open crossword puzzle files directly from Safari, email, or use iTunes File Sharing. Crossword Author also reads and writes text versions of puzzles. This is especially useful for incomplete puzzles. See the Crossword Author support site for text puzzle format. iCloud support - Enable iCloud sync in the Crossword Author preferences. If enabled, the current puzzle and settings will be synchronized between devices. Open completed puzzles with other crossword apps. Tap the Organize button and then choose "Open With..." to send the puzzle to a crossword app such as "Crosswords" or "Across Lite".

why do you have to fill in the letters with the grid upside down and backwards?

This app is great...

but people are way too fast to judge. crossword construction requires patience and good sense and apparently the bad reviews come from those with neither. stick to candy crush. this app takes some getting used to - meaning you actually have to look through the menus and try a few different things - but soon its quite simple to understand. i am a professional, published and paid constructor and have used this app since release. it is unfortunate that bad reviews probably have prevented further updates...otherwise 5 stars.

No documentation, no website...no possibility to create your own wordlist though the description states you can do so. Im so disappointed.

Its not worth a dollar. The controls are confusing and it crashes every time I try to open the settings. I want my money back.

1 Down - Useless item or slang reference to sexual anatomy. 4 Down - Situation that occurs when numerous vehicles meet abruptly in an intersection. 2 Across - App _____________ to open after the 1st time. 3 Across - Depressed state of being after purchasing this product.
