Description
The cyclesourcing app makes use of the concept of crowdsourcing to determine the quality of users’ cycling rides on footpaths, park connectors and current cycling tracks around Singapore. The app uses the phone’s accelerometer and GPS location to collect data on the quality of your cycling ride based on an established algorithm computed against a bumpiness index and velocity. Data captured will be used to analyse, identify and enhance the cycling infrastructure in Singapore. Apart from crowdsourcing for data, the app will also allow the users to track useful information on their cycling routes taken.
