The dbConf is aimed to gather both open and closed-source SQL (MySQL, Postgres, Firebird, Oracle, MSSQL, DB2) and non-SQL (MongoDB, Apache Hadoop, CouchDB) database specialists.
The mobile application provides new communication and interaction possibilities to all participants. The users can share information with friends, provide feedback, rate particular activities and organize their personal tracks. The content published is available to users anytime and anywhere on their mobile devices (offline access).

dBConf to konferencja społecznościowa przeznaczona dla specjalistów baz danych w bardzo szerokim znaczeniu tego słowa. Organizuje ją zarząd stowarzyszenia Polska Grupa Użytkowników Linuxa (PLUG) we współpracy z wolontariuszami internetowymi, zainterensowanymi działaniem na rzecz konferencji.
W programie znajdują się zarówno oficjalne prelekcje, półoficjalne dyskusje panelowe, a także towarzyskie spotkania i elementy rozrywkowe. Celem spotkania jest integracja grup, stworzenie warunków do spotkania się ludzi związanych z różnymi środowiskami bazodanowymi oraz umożliwienie im nawiązania wzajemnych kontaktów, wymiany doświadczeń, pomysłów i planów na przyszłość.
