NBD/Biblion is de initiatiefnemer van de website deBoekensalon.nl en deze App. Als faciliterend bedrijf voor de Nederlandse bibliotheken beschikt NBD/Biblion over een indrukwekkende verzameling informatie. Zo worden onder andere alle boeken die in Nederland verschijnen in kaart gebracht en voor openbare bibliotheken gerecenseerd. Daarnaast faciliteert NBD/Biblion een uitgebreid netwerk van leeskringen. Dit sociale netwerk en de enorme schat aan objectieve informatie vragen om dit bijzondere initiatief.
