Description
The Delhi Police is the main law and order agency for the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT).
Delhi Police has its origin in a small security force, established in 1803, under the assistant of British Resident to the Mughal Imperial Courts. Founded in 1861 after the adoption of the Indian Police Act, Delhi Police remained a part of the Punjab Police until India gained independence in 1947. It was re-organized in 1966 following which four Delhi Police divisions were created. It is headed by the Police Commissioner of New Delhi, an officer of Director General of Police (DGP) rank.
The Application provides easy access to the emergency helpline numbers. Users can call any emergency helpline number from within the app.
It has also SMS Servicing facilities, where the users can instantly send an SMS to the SMS help Center and get the details.
Users can also visit the Delhi police social network sites like Facebook and Twitter.
This app serves as a tool to seek help in case of emergency and to inform the police helpline by Phone, SMS and emails.
In addition to it the users can query about the Stolen Vehicles, Passport Verification Status, missing mobile phones etc.
