Fencing Self-training Application - for Young Talent and Elite Fencers.
This application provides tools and inspiration for talent and elite fencers in the agegroups "Cadets" and "Juniors" to training alone or in small groups as a supplement to other organized fencing training. The idea is to enhance training volume and train basic skills through deliberate practice by giving the young fencers guidance to self training.
The application has a catalogue with weapon exercises on epee and foil and footwork chosen from the perspective, that it should be possible for the target group to train independently and also outside the normal training facilities - for instance at home.
The application has a planner and a calendar, which give the fencer the opportunity to build up self training sessions. The fencing coach is intended to give support to the selection of exercises and motivate the self training process.
The concept has been developed by the Danish Fencing Federation with assistance from the National Coaches Andrey Klyushin and Fenrenc Toth, Project Leader Michael Gyes and Development Consultant Martin Wiuff.
