Not sure if this app is compatible with the Phantom 2 Vision+ v3. Did a test flight varying the power from 3 to 27 dBm… any changes in Tx power from the stock settings REDUCED my effective distance (stock distance is around 2000 ft, with any change in Tx power my distance dropped to around 1200 ft). Conducted a measurement with my MacBook WiFi, running the app “WiFi Explorer”. There was NO change in measured Signal Strength in the 2.4 GHz band with any Tx Power settings (3 to 27 dBm). I hope this is just a v2 versus v3 issue. And if this is the case, I hope a updated app is released soon that supports the Phantom 2 v3. As this app stands now, I would NOT recommend purchasing it.
Works amazing !
Been using this app for the last 6 months .. I have a Dji Phantom 2 Vision Plus V3 I have flown up to 5,400 Feet and had full signal and better then 80% WiFi strength .. I fly regularly using this app and and fly well over 3500 Feet on a regular basis never losing FPV .. Even in a heavily dense downtown city I could get over 1500 feet .. And occasionally had some lag. Highly recommend if you live in a WIFI congested area it will definitely help out to give you better range.
