Description
Under JCAHO (Joint Commission), there are certain abbreviations that if used can bring fines and censure on hospital facilities. Most importantly, if these abbreviations are misread, it can lead to the injury or death of a patient.
This program was built for the professional in mind. It provides quick and easy access to the abbreviations and definitions without any clutter or mess.
Also included in the list is the "should not use" abbreviations. These are abbreviations that JCAHO has identified as being able to be misread easily and will be fully incorporated into the do not use regulation at a future date.
