Document Scotland present The Ties That Bind, their second app, designed specially for mobile devices.
Combining remarkable photography with video and audio elements, The Ties That Bind is an evocative study of a modern Scotland.
The four photographers - Jeremy Sutton-Hilbert, Sophie Gerrard, Stephen McLaren and Colin McPherson - each contribute a photo essay on a theme important to them.
Topics include the Common Ridings in the Scottish borders, women working on isolated hill farms, the ties between Scotland and Jamaica through the slave trade, and the lower reaches of Scottish football.
These essays are drawn from material making up the Document Scotland exhibition at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh, running from September 2015 to April 2016.
