Finally, Dou Di Zhu on iPhone
First of all, let me just say that Dou Di Zhu is a great card game, and this version didnt disappoint. For beginners, there is a "how to play" guide included in the game, and you also have the option of switching on auto-suggest, which is like a "cheat" feature. You get to play against three powerful AIs, and the rules are perfect. Gameplay is very smooth and has a nice flow to it. To play your cards, you can either swipe or just push a button. It would be nice if the buttons were a little bigger though. It is however a little dull without sound though. Hopefully it will be added in the next version. Check out "Big 2" by the same developer which uses the same layout and cards, which is great as it makes you feel as if youre playing the game in real life with the same deck of cards.

Great game! But needs some fixes ...
Dou Di Zhu is a great game and this version has some really good features (e.g., auto suggest). I dont hesitate to reccommend this game, but there are some improvements that still need to be made. Firstly, the game has a tendency to lock up (and require me to delete and reload the application) when a call or SMS message is received during play. This is a must to fix. The following are some suggestions on how to continue to improve the game: 1) As with most card games there are variations to the rules from region to region. It would be good to have options to customize these rules. One in particular that I think makes for a better game is to not allow full-house hands, but only allow 1 discard with 3 of a kind hands. This is a far more challenging game with this rule. 2) The AI of the computer needs to continue to be tweaked as it is no longer a question of whether I will win, but how quickly I can get to 100 or 200 points. 3) It would be nice to see what is in the blind even if everyone passes ... just for the "only if" factor With a fix of the bug that causes the game to crash I would give it 4 stars. It would take some improvements on the others above before I feel it would justify 5.
