I absolutely love the idea of this app. What I like about it is that it is very reduced to its absolutely most necessary features. Unfortunately it crashes with every second button I hit on my iPhone 5s. Far too buggy to keep using it. Actually I would rather ask for my money back.

Description
Although many people do not remember their dreams, the average person has 4-6 dreams per night. Generally you will only remember a dream if you are awakened during it, and then that memory will start to fade fast. Heres how Dreamers Log helps you record and analyze these fleeting memories:
Load the Dreamers Log application before bed and hit the Sleep! button. You are then brought to a screen that displays the current sound levels in the room. Adjust the Sound Threshold slider above the ambient room noise, but below the levels indicated when you talk. Only sounds louder than the Sound Threshold will be recorded for later analysis.
After you are satisfied with your Sound Threshold, hit the Go To Bed button and set your iPhone on a nearby nightstand or desk. Dreamers Log will now record you as you describe your dreams throughout the night. Be sure to speak up!
In the morning, take your iPhone out of sleep mode, and hit the Wake Up button. You are then brought to a list of all your dream logs. Select the bottom one (the most recent), and start sorting through what Dreamers Log picked up last night.
Any sound louder than the Sound Threshold will be saved as a Disruption. If you set your Sound Threshold correctly, these disruptions will be recordings of your voice as you described the dreams you were having. Play and categorize each disruption as the type of dream it was, or mark it as not a dream. Listen and analyze your dreams as to your hearts content!
Tap into your subconscious knowledge and start to remember your dreams! Store up to a months worth of audio dream descriptions.
***Note: If you have a iPod Touch, the microphone attachment is REQUIRED for this application to work.

Nice idea but crappy execution
Waste of money
This app constantly crashes; when you go to delete files it crashes, listen to files it crashes. It is incredibly slow as well! I also thought the app would decide what type of dream youre having based on noises you make. The only thing Ive learned is I dont snore or talk, I move around a lot. Last night it picked up over four thousand noises, how is that possible? I rate this zero stars, keep your pocket change.
Great idea
I used this app every night. As long as the threshold level is set properly it works perfectly to record only what youre saying when you talk in your sleep. Badly needs an update now though, it crashes when listening to some recordings or trying to delete a file. Please fix it and I will give it 5 stars :)
Dont work
This one on my 3GS dont work Alberto verona
Dont Work!
Nice idea but does not work all. I get nothing but distruptions.
Some good instructions will be nice
Im not usually one to complain but this application has a lot of work that needs to be done. First of all, some instructions that make sense would be nice. Excelltech doesnt even have any kind of demo or explanation on their website! Youre supposed to leave the app running all night while you sleep and when you wake up voice record youre dream. But when you play it back later all you hear are the "disruptions" which there is absolutely no explanation about. I cant even hear my own voice. Bottom line, dont get this app. The producers obviously have some things they need to explain before its even usable. Maybe when they update Ill use it.
Good app, more features?
I love the app, but less as a dream log than as a sleep log. Things I love: • Audio recorder turns on when a audio threshold has been reached and lasts until the noise has fallen below the threshold. • Each disruption is timestamped and can be labeled. Things I want to see: • each disruption marked with the noise level. ( was it a 50, or was it a 100?) • ability to chart/graph disturbances by time and by sound level. • an alarm that is can be set for a range and is activated by breaking the threshold in that window. The alarm would also gradually fade in. Thanks! And nice work on the app!
