Description
Genesee the Drosophila App provides users with a quick reference to a variety of Drosophila melanogaster mutants. Users can access mutant images and descriptions and can easily link to www.flybase.org for complete and detailed information on specific mutants. Along with providing a reference to D. melanogaster mutants, this app features detailed images and descriptions of various Drosophila species.
Users can test their knowledge of various mutants and species with a sort function that mimics fly pushing on a real flypad. The sort feature can be used as a learning tool for novice Drosophilists and fly pushers while competitive fly pushers will be able to post their stats at www.flystuff.com/appstats to compare their fly pushing ability to users around the world.
