Mulligan-a Hole in One

Art Demers · 14 years ago

We downloaded the trial version of Mulligans Eagle last week just days before a major two day event at the courses we manage. In no time we had all the particpants registered and notated whether they had paid or still owed for the event. We were able to update contestant for which we had a GHIN [USGA Handicap Number] in a matter of seconds. For others we followed up with a phone call to verify handicap index and easily entered that information. We had 116 players and paired them quickly in 58 two man teams. We chose an option to dot scorecards for their handicap holes and printed them on card stock with their tee times. When they turned in the cards it was a snap to enter their scores and verify our results against theirs. While they were still at the table, we were able to show them any discrepancies. You can drag and drop scorecard icon onto a spreadsheet to export the data [I still cant figure out how they did that] The software install, and adding/editing courses, players and tournamentsis a breeze. The User Guide is very extensive. The software developer is attentive, participated in troubleshooting, explaining the software and took suggestions for what we deem to be positive enhancements to the program for a future revision. For a price tag of under $50.00 we snapped up our registered version with no remorse. It can be used by leagues, golf directors and yet is affordable to individuals merely looking to track their improvements through statistics. Mulligans Eagle is a smart buy!

Constant Improvement

Artie Demers · 14 years ago

Imagine having software developers who are not only receptive to suggestions for improvements but execute upon them. Some ten months ago we purchased Eagle to keep track of some major events at the two courses we manage. After kicking the tires, we were very pleased with the product and requested some tweaks to make it [selfishly] better serve our needs. Since then Mulligan Software has rolled out two revisions which continue to cross items off of our original wishlist. It is unheard of in this day and age to first, have a developer that would even entertain enhancements to their product but secondly to actually follow through on it. Mulligan Software has made a great product even better! Thanks.

Dont waste your time

I made the mistake of trying this software. It has absolutely no explanation of how to use it or any practical way to navigate around to figure it out. I dont no what justifies the price.

Eagle for Golf Groups

pghgetch · 12 years ago

Ive used Eagle for a number of years to keep my golf stats and monitor my USGA handicap. Our ladies golf association has scored their annual member-guest event with the software several times. It works great, provides all the features you need to pre-register players, maintain current handicaps, do pairings, prepare scorecards, starters lists and cart signs, then have a simple way to enter all the scores quickly - even with a shotgun start where everyone finishes at the same time - and finally produce results, using tie-breakers, flights, etc. Now Im in charge of our ladies weekly playday, and I am using Eagle to plan and score each outing. Eagle cant do all our formats (like most putts, or goofy golf), but it can handicap and score a huge number of different kinds of play. The software gets updated regularly, works exactly as advertised (and described in a 200+ pages pdf users manual), and is well supported. I know software that tries to do what Eagle does costs pro shops many hundreds of dollars. If you need to score golf on the Mac, theres nothing else close.
