Finally an app from Reading Eggs!! My son LOVES the online program and has been asking for months to play it on my iPhone or on our iPad.....how do explain about flash to a 4 year old! This program is fantastic (so is the online paid program - worth every penny) and Im so proud of the progress in his reading!!! Thank You Reading Eggs!
Its ok
I was so happy to hear that reading eggs finally released a game for the iPhone. My daughter is signed up for reading eggs online which gets a 5/5 star rating. As for the iPhone game, I just played 2 first levels before I show It to my daughter. I find the eggs take a long time to show up with the correct word in the egg. A child of 4-5 yrs old will get bored waiting so long for the right egg to show up. At one point it was 20 seconds before the right word showed up. Another thing I see is that after about 15-20 words the eggs fly by the screen so fast I myself a 35 year old has trouble getting them. I have not gone much further then level 2 right now but I am sure it gets harder as you go along. Reading eggs online I give a 5/5 New reading eggs iPhone app 3/5. I give it a 3 as there is room for improvement and given the awesome online version , I am sure the iPhone app will be better over time. If I may make one more suggestion, the app should be able to tie in to a childs progress with the online version.
Online vs App
The online Reading Eggs is absolutely amazing! The app version needs more variety, not just one egg game. There should be an option to speed up the movement of the flying eggs.
I use Reading Eggs everyday in my classroom!
I love Reading Eggs all year long with everyone of my students and they love it! I was very happy to see now there is an app to also use with my grandkids! I do see that the time to swipe the eggs is just a tad fast, maybe slowing it down will give kids with special needs more response time. Otherwise, it is wonderful! I would love for you all to also come up with a math version, you know "Math Eggs"!!!!
Too fast to keep new readers interested
Thought this would be great b/c I use the website and love it, but the app has the flying eggs moving too fast for a beginning reader. Would love to see a variety of games like the website.
Nice idea, but much too fast.
As someone that loves readingeggs I was thrilled to see this app. Its a wonderful idea but the eggs need to slow down. They move by much to quickly. If you can slow that down this would be a 5 star app.
Excellent!!! But....
Love the reading egg !!! Love this to, but the eggs speed up too fast for some learners. Especially some learners with challenges.
