EMRO is an emergency response app that provides medical and security emergency services to subscribers within covered territories. Whenever you’re in an emergency, you can request for an ambulance or armed vehicle and it gets to your location within a short period of time. The app uses internet service (cellular data, wi-fi) and your GPS location to function accurately. Safety monitor service - Safety monitor allows you to notify your emergency contacts of your location during an emergency. Armed response service - This service dispatches emergency armed response to your location as soon as you panic, provided you are in the covered territory. The team that is dispatched comprises of 1 driver, 1 commander and 2 armed police officers. At least one person is CPR/ first aid certified. Subscriber can also track ambulance approaching from the map. Medical response service - This service dispatches emergency medical response to your location as soon as you panic, provided you are in the covered territory. The team that is dispatched comprises of 1 driver, 1 first responder and 2 medical doctors. Subscriber can track armed response team approaching from the app. The armed response and medical response services come with a fee and it can be purchased in the app using card payment or online transfer. EMRO is easy to use. Here’s how it works: - Open the app and tap the panic button - Select the response service you need (safety monitor, Medical response or Armed response) - The command centre receives the panic and notifies you to confirm panic - The command centre assigns response team to your location, and you can track their arrival on the map. - The response team takes you to the nearest hospital and you have a HMO cover for 72 hours (3 days). There are additional free services that EMRO provides which includes daily tips – emergency health and security tips; danger zone – alerts you when you are in an area with high security concern and newsletters – health and security news sent to users’ email.
