Description

Using real-time signal information and position information from GPS and cell signals, EnLighten notices when drivers stop at a red light. It then uses Connected Signals proprietary technology to predict when that light will change. If it can predict, it tells them. Then, just before the light turns green, a chime warns the driver to get ready. EnLighten currently works in selected cities, a list of which can be seen at: http://connectedsignals.com/live_cities/ More cities are being added as quickly as possible. Knowing how much time is available can keep drivers from starting distracting tasks shortly before a light changes and they need to drive. The chime that sounds shortly before the light changes also helps avoid situations where a car darts into an intersection after being honked at by another driver. Please be aware that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Does this work outside the U.S.?

No coverage area

There is no information at app description that it has coverage area. Ive downloaded it and cannot use because I am outside coverage area. Its unfair I didnt know about any coverage area before download.

Im out of area(Houston), but the idea alone is worth 5 stars. Feature request: Green light prediction, so I can time lights. (Audi recently announced this for their new cars). Was wishing for an app as soon as I heard about it.

Great concept but bad execution

I just went driving through provo, one of the alleged "covered cities" and the app still says Im out of range. #wtheck

Running this on a 4S for a couple days and it has yet to work for me. Nothing happens at any of the lights Ive stopped at.
