Download Eugene now and find out. HOW SMART IS EUGENE? A good chess player should be able to defeat Eugene with a good game. He starts out with a difficulty of 2, but you can increase it to 3 if he isnt challenging you enough. This will slow Eugene down a bit, especially on devices older than iPhone 4. Eugene isnt programmed with any pre-set openings. This makes for some interesting and non-traditional situations right from the start. Obviously, this also means that Eugene might get into trouble early since his vision isnt as deep as other engines that play by the book. Eugenes brains are basically javascript, the language that powers the web. Apple continues to improve the performance of javascript with each new phone so Eugene will continue to get faster. An actual rating of Eugene is a bit hard to calculate. If someone would like to calculate his actual ELO that would be awesome and I will update this description accordingly. If I had to estimate it I would guess it is maybe 1600. That is really just a guess, however.

Nett, leider in normal schon zu schwach. Haengt sich auch direkt auf odee besser gesagt, spielt nicht weiter, noch gibt es auf. Nicht empfehlenswert.

Anfangs ganz nett, dann schlägt Bauer nach Links, ist das eine neue Schach-Regel? Wiederholt den selben Zug, besonders nett wenn der eigene König Schach gesetzt ist und man nur auf ein Feld springen kann, dann kommt es zum Schach-Looping.

Die verschiedenen Figurensätze und die verschieden Bretter sind alle sehr schön und alle für das praktische Spiel zu gebrauchen. Auch das Menüsystem ist gut durchdacht, obwohl zunächst ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig. So weit so gut.- Leider ist das Spielprogramm grottenschlecht. Man ist an die ersten Schachcomputer erinnert, die sinnlose Randbauernzüge machten, oder mit dem König hin und her fuhren. Ein Beispiel gespielt auf der höchsten Stufe, der Computer ist Schwarz: 1.e4 e5, 2.Sf3 Sc6, 3. Lc4 Sf6, 4. d3 Lc5, 5.Sc3 Tf8? 6.Lg5 d5? 7.Sxd5...... Nach sieben Zügen schon eine total verlorene Stellung. Nach ein paar Zügen aus dem Eröffnungsbuch fängt er an zu denken und dann wird es ganz düster. Auf mittlere Stufe spielte er übrigens statt Tf8, Kf8. Da ist auch nicht eine Spur von Schachwissen vorhanden. Mit einer brauchbaren Engine, könnte es aber noch eine ganz ordentliches Programm werden.
