Description
Myeongdong street in the 1950s and 1960s presented a juxtaposition of the gloomy looks in the aftermath of the Korean War and the youngsters’ vibrant and splendid artistic activities.
Particularly, Eunseong Pub in Myeongdong was the venue where famous contemporary artists like novelist Lee Bong-gu and poets Park In-hwan and Cheon Sang-byeong dreamed of a brighter future. As one of the episodes related to Eunseong Pub, you can’t omit As Time Passes by, the major poem by poet Park In-hwan that became more famous in its song version. By the way, one theory suggests that As Time Passes by was created at Gyeongsangdojib.
