I downloaded the app, and nothing happened . I really expressed that is one of the worst experiences using an app.
This app is “player” not a recorder like the iPad version
I am not sure that folks know that this APP is a ‘player’ that will (do nothing but) play .XPL projects created on the iPad version. It is not a program to create EE presentations. Works just as reported on the site, as a player.
Program Seems to Crash Everytime I open it!!
I have enjoyed using Explain Everything in the past on my iPad, but this program does not seem to work on my MacBook Pro as it seems to crash every time I try to open it. I even deleted it and reinstalled it with no success!
Why is there no rendering capability?
Instead of converting projects into videos on the iPad, which takes forever, wouldnt it make more sense to upload the projects and convert them to video on a more powerful machine?
Useful, but has bugs
I use Explain Everything for converting PowerPoint presentations to videos. It works fine for plain text, but not for graphics. During conversion it changes the font and size of characters, so any graphics that are related directly to text on a slide will be misplaced, since the relative positioning of the text changes. It also messes up the indentation for lists, and cannot convert special symbols correctly. This would be a great product if it could accurately convert PowerPoint slides. Until then, its OK until something better comes along.
Would Love to Scroll
I love the app, but I cant expand and write more clearly as I run out of room on the slide. I would love to be able to scroll down for more work space instead of adding slides. If I had the functionality of the app "notability" but when people watched the video they dont see me pinch or expand, it just shows up as smaller hand writing or in a certain space, I would call this the perfect!
