Description
Most camera apps grade your photo after you've taken it. Faded Cam does it before — the film look is rendered live on the viewfinder, so what you frame is exactly what gets saved. No surprises after the shutter.
SIX LOOKS, LIVE
- G7X — warm compact-camera color, inspired by the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III
- Portra — the faded, forgiving palette of Kodak Portra 400 portrait film
- CCD — early-2000s digicam color, blue-shadowed and a little harsh
- Leica — a crisp, neutral rangefinder grade in the spirit of the Leica Q3
- Disposable — blown-out flash, heavy grain, drugstore-print contrast
- VCR — smeared, bleeding 90s camcorder color
Tap to switch — the preview updates instantly. Tap Off for a clean, unfiltered feed.
Faded Cam is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Canon, Kodak or Leica. Those names are used only to describe the visual style each look is modelled on; all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
SHOOTS VIDEO TOO
Switch to Video and the look is baked into the recording frame by frame, with audio. Not a preview trick — it's in the file.
A REAL CAMERA, NOT A TOY
- Lens buttons built from your iPhone's actual lenses (0.5x / 1x / 2x / 3x), plus pinch to zoom
- Volume buttons fire the shutter, like the stock app
- Tap to focus and meter, long-press to lock AE/AF, drag to ride exposure
- 4:3, 1:1 and 16:9 — applied to the preview and the saved photo alike
- Self-timer, rule-of-thirds grid, flash, front camera, exposure slider
KEEP THE ORIGINAL
Turn on "Also save unedited copy" and every shot saves twice — the graded version and the untouched one, same framing. Change your mind later.
FIX THE ONES THAT GOT AWAY
Pick photos already in your library, apply any look with an adjustable strength, preview the result, and export graded copies. Your originals are never modified.
Everything lands in a dedicated Faded Cam album, so your shots live alongside the rest of your library and persist between launches.
