Description

When you arrive at the scene of an emergency the first few minutes are decisive. The life of an injured person can depend on whether you carry out the correct measures or not. This guide, compiled in collaboration with the Johanniter Ambulance (the German sister organization oft the St John ambulance), will help you to render first aid quickly and competently. The contents are, of course, in accordance with the newest first-aid guidelines. In contrast to other methods, it is not necessary to make a diagnosis (for instance, heart attack). You choose from six guiding symptoms to find out what the situation is. The App will then lead you through the correct measures to be undertaken. These are explained step by step with clear illustrative material. For instance: ● Recovery position ● Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (listen to the correct frequency) ● Using the defibrillator ● Making the emergency call ● Life-saving grip ● Measures in the case of injury ● Checking breathing Refresh your first-aid knowledge with this App! In addition to this you have all the emergency measures at your fingertips on your iPhone/iPod Touch. And don’t forget, this knowledge is not a luxury, it’s a must! In the series KNOW-IT-ALL there are different Apps available in interesting and useful fields of knowledge. Further topics on offer are: - Wines and grapes - Recognizing architectural epochs - Clouds & weather We look forward to your feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Misleading

Thanks a lot!!! I clicked on your emergency numbers icon, and clicked on Canada thinking it was going to give me a list of emergency numbers, but instead it automaticaly dialed 911!!!! I couldnt hit end quick enough. 30 seconds later, 911 calls me back stating they got a call from my number. They took my name and address. After talking with them, I get another phone call, this time it was the RCMP dispach. I had to explain to them the reason I called, and they took my name. After that one, I get a call from some RCMP officer and their protocal is that when they get a call from a residence, they have to sent a unit out to go check out whats going on!!! Being there was a blizzard out, the officer told me he believes my story and that they wont be sending out a unit. I guess what Im trying to say, maybe put a warning before you click on a coutry, or simply get rid of that option. If you live in a country and not know the number for your emergency services then well.... never mind I said enough. Think about it, and I just hope I dont get a bill in my mail. If I do, Im sending it your way.

In cases of a Stroke or otherwise known as cardiovascular accident. NEVER RAISE THE HEAD!!! ALWAYS PLACE IN SHOCK POSITION!! I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT APPLE EVEN ALLOWED THIS POS!!!

RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT!!!!!!!!

@ iPhone Danny: In case of a stroke you should raise the upper part of the body (like correctly described in the app)! Simple and evident reason: This will reduce the blood pressure on the brain. This is a generally binding rule. Many reviews in the app store are "only" stupid, but this is wrong and very dangerous!

iPhone Danny needs this app a lot more than he thinks because then he not only would know how to correctly treat for a CVA, he would also know that CVA stands for CEREBRO vascular accident and not cardio vascular accident.
