Description
Introduce your child to 15 popular fruits through First Words for Toddlers 2: Fruits, an app targeted towards children ages 1-2 or those learning to speak. At this stage of life, your child’s foundational skills for learning are quickly developing. Practice with this app will not only help your child to learn the names of the fruits, but will also aid in the development of five cognitive skills within the 10 Pillars of Learning framework.
This app features 4 instructional sections including Fruit School, Fruit Play, Fruit Show and Prize Page.
Fruit School: This section teaches the names, beginning phonetic sounds, and associated images of 15 popular fruits. Your child learns through listening and repeating the names and sounds while looking at real life fruit images. The background music is “Maple Leaf Rag” by Scott Joplin.
Fruit Play: This set of six games encourages your child to “play” with the fruit. From crushing flying fruit to tracking down the hiding worm, these exercises make learning about fruits a blast.
Fruit Show: Set to Rossini’s famed “William Tell Overture”, the Fruit Show is an auditory and visual experience that reviews all of the fruits learned throughout the app. Encourage your child to participate in the show by naming the characters as they come across the stage.
Prize Page: The Prize Page contains all the rewards the child has earned from playing the Fruit Play activities. These virtual stickers can be moved around to create make-believe stories. Capture some of your favorite scenes to your photos folder so you can revisit the story later!
By giving your child an opportunity to learn in a fun way, you will be helping him/her establish an early love of learning.
